“Been living here for about 5 months now. This place is pretty great as far as apartments go. Maintenance has been quick, effective, and kind. Management is helpful, responsive, and very communicative for things like local events, deadlines, and emergencies. The thick concrete walls insulate sound and temperature remarkably well. The complex itself is generally well maintained. Each building has its own unique architecture that gives some character. The greenery growing on some of the buildings is awesome. I like seeing all the little gardens and personal decorations neighbors have outside their apartments. The gyms are pretty well equipped. Neighbors are generally friendly and sociable. The location is about as walk-able as San Antonio gets. I haven't had any problems with things related to roaches, HVAC, or petty thievery/car break-ins. Overall, my stay at 1221 Broadway has been a pretty great experience. Would recommend to a friend. Bad things to note: - I feel bad for the people living near Porta Rossa bar on Broadway. The bar can get loud and rowdy. I don't imagine the apartment is insulating all of that noise. - General downtown noises can be obtrusive at times. This just comes with living downtown. - City events like fiesta occasionally close parts of downtown and make navigating around the apartment complex a little more challenging. Also comes with living downtown.”
